Vasilios Takos, based in Greece, has been involved with astrology from a young age, cultivating a deep dedication over the years to the study of traditional astrological texts. His research focuses on Hellenistic, Persian, and Arabic astrological works, studying extensively the writings of astrologers such as Ptolemy, Valens, Dorotheus, Rhetorius, Theophilus, Māshā’allāh, Abū Ma‘shar, Ibn Ezra, and many others. He is particularly interested in analyzing and comparing the techniques found in these works and their continuity through time.
He is a certified teacher of the STA (School of Traditional Astrology) and teaches the Practitioners Level Horary Astrology course in both Greek and English, officially representing the STA in Greece. At the same time, he offers astrology seminars and classes in Greece and abroad.

In addition to astrology, Vasileios Takos has completed studies in Clinical Hypnotherapy with Psychotherapy at various educational institutions in Greece and abroad, adding a holistic approach to his practice and teaching.

Talk for the Greek "Star Club" of ISAR on the topic “The synodic cycle and its influence on planetary strength,” held online on July 14, 2021. The presentation focused on planetary motion and how it serves as a crucial component in the complex symbolism of horary astrology, referring to the synodic cycle and its usefulness in answering various questions.

Talk titled "Theophilus of Edessa on trials, legal issues & conflict charts" at the STA’s 25th anniversary conference, held online on September 25, 2021. The lecture focused on military astrology, which although may seem minor in peacetime, its methods remain vital as they provide the framework for rules applied to trials, legal matters, or all kinds of conflict charts.
