School policy, requirements, and recommendations

Mandatory to read for those wishing to enroll in the courses

1. Although prior experience in natal astrology is not required, this course is unsuitable for students who lack experience in creating and using astrological charts, are just beginning to understand astrology, cannot easily recognize zodiac signs, their rulers, and planets, or cannot readily identify aspects between planets. Participants must have a solid understanding of general astrological principles, including familiarity with the symbolic and theoretical concepts of astrological planets, zodiac signs, houses, aspects, and transits. The calculation of an astrological chart is not part of this course curriculum, except for techniques specifically related to natal astrology. Participants are expected to have prior training and experience in interpreting astrological charts. It is highly recommended to have the necessary astrological experience or to have completed the school's courses on the principles of the Basic Astrology Principles course before enrolling in the Master’s Degree Certification in Natal Astrology courses.

2. The entirety of the course material is delivered exclusively in English, with more than 400 A4 pages of accompanying notes and over 72 hours of online (live) or recorded seminars. The lessons are taught by Vasilios Takos, who holds the exclusive right to teach this course. The intellectual property rights belong solely to Vasilios Takos, owner and founder of the "Vasilios Takos" School. Excellent proficiency in the English language is mandatory for participation.

3. Each student should be aware that they are allowed to miss only four (4) lessons in Level I to proceed to Level II and receive the certification. Additionally, each student will need to dedicate approximately 4-8 hours of study per lesson to successfully meet the course requirements. The certification for the Master's Degree Certification in Natal Astrology is issued only after the completion of both levels of the program and upon proof of studying and understanding the material, demonstrated by successfully completing the school’s assigned tasks. Students who fail to submit the ten (10) assignments (tests) for Level I and do not achieve the minimum required score of 70% will not be able to continue to Level II. Successful submission of each assignment (with a desired score above 70%) is a prerequisite for accessing the material for subsequent lessons in each course level. Students who fail to submit the ten (10) assignments (tests) for either Level I or Level II and do not achieve the desired score (70%) within four weeks of the conclusion of the respective level’s educational program will be given a 6-month deadline to revise or complete any missing assignments. This will incur an additional cost of €80 per test, with no further individual instruction or evaluation of assignments provided to students who wish to complete or restart their assignments after the two-week grace period following the official end of the program.

4. The teaching material is provided in digital format throughout the course, as PDF files that can be saved on a computer exclusively for the student’s personal use. The school’s materials—including coursework, assignment materials, answer sheets for each assignment, and generally all content used during the delivery of the school’s curriculum (texts, images, tables, charts, diagrams, illustrations, photos, videos, the content provided in electronic files of questions, answers, assignments, additional examples, presentation videos, both recorded and live-streamed, and generally any other element of the school, as well as discussions held during online meetings) are strictly protected and reserved under all legal rights. These materials are provided solely for personal study. None of the above materials may be reproduced in any way, through any medium or method, referenced on social media, or distributed in any form. The school’s educational videos are not available for personal download and can only be accessed by logging into the secure online platform at vasiliostakos.com, where the lessons take place. Graduates are allowed to continue accessing these videos and other course materials on the online platform for 12 months after the official completion of each educational level. However, teaching support is discontinued two weeks after the official conclusion of the educational program. In summary, an inviolable condition of our policy concerning intellectual property rights is the full acceptance of these terms.

5. The digital course materials are compatible with all modern computers. Students must have stable internet access, as all lessons are conducted on the school’s online platform. Students are also required to install a free video conferencing program (Zoom) to participate in interactive online sessions with the instructor and their fellow students. Cameras must remain strictly on for the entire duration of the lesson or any other online educational meeting.

6. Enrollment is secured only upon payment of the full tuition fee for the entire duration of the educational level (approximately 8 months) or the exact amount of the first installment, as determined by the school, which must be fully paid before the specified deadline. If payment is not completed by the deadline, the school reserves the right to offer the enrollment spot to another student.

7. Full payment of each installment must be made by the predetermined dates set by the school. Any additional fees incurred during the transfer of funds are the sole responsibility of the student. Failure to make timely payment of an installment will result in the student being unable to continue attending classes, accessing the educational material for all lessons, and their participation in the school’s online platform will be fully suspended to protect the course content.

8. In the unlikely event that the educational program for a given level (approximately 8 months in duration) is canceled or postponed before the start of the teaching period, the school will refund all tuition fees paid. However, the school will not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the participants.

9. The School reserves the right to postpone a lesson but is obligated to reschedule and complete it before the predetermined end of the respective educational cycle.

10. The School is under no obligation to analyze or respond in any way to questions from students regarding their personal natal chart or those of their clients. The tutor only answers questions directly related to the material of the respective lesson.

11. The School unreservedly retains the right to expel a student without any prior warning if significant reasons arise. Indicatively, some of these reasons include: when a student exhibits any offensive behavior or makes derogatory remarks against the teaching staff or other fellow students during the course of teaching; when they maintain similar behavior during their online connection to the student communication forum; when they display argumentative or provocative behavior in the messaging system of the online classroom; when they exhibit suspicious behavior; when they do not fully comply with the School's policy and regulations; when such actions are ultimately aimed at defaming the reputation of the School with the intent to weaken it; or when they engage in any other act, verbally or in writing, that could negatively affect the smooth and orderly functioning of the lessons or the School itself in any way. The aforementioned right of expulsion by the School is also retained in cases where Article 4 of this Policy is violated by any instructor or student of the School.

12. If a student pays either the full amount or the first installment for Level I or II of the Master's Degree Certification in Natal Astrology courses and subsequently reconsiders their decision to participate in the School's online courses for any reason, they may receive a refund of the amount paid, provided they notify the School within 30 days of the payment date. The refund will be issued within 30 days of the payment, and the School reserves the right to withhold any applicable charges (fees) incurred for the specific amount paid, as defined by law, for the benefit of financial institutions. Refunds are not permitted after this 30-day period or after the delivery of any official material from the School. Enrollment spots in the School's educational programs are strictly limited, and once they are filled, further registrations are no longer accepted. Payments made to secure and reserve a spot in a specific level of courses are non-refundable and non-transferable to another level of courses after the 30-day period has passed.

13. The School is committed to ensuring the best possible packaging of graduation certificates for their dispatch. However, the School assumes no responsibility for any errors in the information submitted by the students or for any damages that may occur during the shipping process caused by third parties (couriers, postal services, etc.) while the certificates are being transported and delivered to the address provided by the student. In cases of incorrect information, requests for reissuance for any other reason, or damages caused by third parties, the cost of reissuing and resending the certificate (depending on the shipping fees as defined by the respective courier services and the chosen method of shipping) will be borne exclusively by the student. Certificates are dispatched exclusively via Hellenic Post (ELTA) with a tracking code. Should a different shipping method be requested, the cost of shipping will be solely the responsibility of the student.

14. The School is committed to protecting students’ personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union and applicable national regulations. The video recording process, which may include the capture of both image and audio, involves the collection of personal data, such as the appearances and voices of students and instructors. The processing of this data is based on the following legal grounds: 1) Consent – Provided by students during the enrollment process for each educational program. 2) Necessity for the provision of the educational program –Ensuring the smooth conduct of classes and educational activities. Video recordings are stored in a secure environment with access strictly limited to the instructors and students of the corresponding educational program. The School implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard personal data against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or misuse. Additionally, the School collaborates exclusively with third-party service providers who offer adequate data protection assurances in compliance with GDPR. Beyond video recording, the School may collect and process students' personal data through online platforms used to provide educational services. Such data may include, but is not limited to: 1) The creation and management of personal profiles. 2) Participation in online forums. 3) The submission of comments, assignments, or other educational content. The inclusion of a student's full name in their personal profile is mandatory, as it serves security, institutional protection, and transparency purposes among students. These profiles remain private, protected from unauthorized access, and visible only to the students and instructors of the respective educational program. The collection and processing of such data occur with students’ consent upon enrollment and aim to enhance the educational experience. All personal data entered on the School’s online platforms are stored on secure servers, with access restricted to authorized users—namely, the students themselves and the instructors. Students have the ability to modify or delete their personal data through their profile settings. Should a student wish to request the deletion of their account or personal data, they may contact the School’s designated Data Protection Officer. Students retain all rights granted under the GDPR, including: 1) The right of access to their data. 2) The right to rectification of inaccurate data. 3) The right to erasure of data ("right to be forgotten"). 4) The right to restrict processing of their data. 5) The right to data portability. 6) The right to object to data processing. To exercise any of these rights, students may submit a formal request to the School’s Data Protection Officer.

15. In the event of a student's withdrawal from the School, in accordance with Article 11 —whether due to a decision by the School or a voluntary resignation— the student’s access to the online classroom and any educational materials is immediately revoked. This includes both materials from completed courses and those from upcoming courses, as the latter cannot be technically protected. No right to re-enrollment or refund is granted. Following withdrawal, the student is explicitly prohibited from using, reproducing, storing, or distributing any of the School’s educational materials in any manner or form without the School’s prior written consent. Additionally, any offensive, defamatory, or aggressive actions by a former student against the School, its instructors, or other students —including but not limited to posts on social media, websites, forums, or other public platforms— shall be considered a breach of terms and may result in legal action by the School to protect its reputation and rights. The School reserves the right to take all necessary technical and legal measures to safeguard its content and operations.

16. The School reserves the right to use, for advertising and marketing purposes, any evaluation/review/comment/post regarding Vasilios Takos, the services he offers, the astrology courses, or the School in general, whether posted on Vasilios Takos' Google Business Account or any other website.

17. The School reserves the right to unilaterally modify or update these terms of policy, requirements, and recommendations whenever deemed necessary. Users and students are obligated to regularly visit and stay informed about the School's Policy and terms of use. The use of the website vasiliostakos.com and its associated online classroom constitutes implicit acceptance of the terms of use and the School's policy.
